But I’m not sure exactly how rare. Mitsubishi 3000GT Spyder, non-VR4. For some reason my camera didn’t focus.

Not as rare as a VR-4, but still hard to find

Less rare if only searching junk yards. Hey oh

I thought all of the convertibles with a quad exhaust were VR4's.

Nope this one’s an SL.

Rare because they’re terrible, the convertible added like 800 lbs some how.
Edit: nope I’m wrong it’s not much heavier. Like 60lb from SL TO SL Spyder, and only like 20lbs from VR-4 to VR-4 Spyder.

No moving spoiler, but still a pretty rare deal nonetheless.

Yes, they are ‘rarer’ than the VR4s because they were less Spyder SLs made vs. VR4's. However, the VR4 is the one people want with the turbos. SL’s do 220hp vs the VR4's 300-320hp (depending on year) and also, tragically, most SL’s are automatics. (There are very few 5-sp manual Spyder SLs)
